Program Description
This certificate of bookkeeping entrepreneurship allows individuals pursuing a bookkeeping certificate who are entrepreneurs the opportunity to get grounding in the fundamentals of being an entrepreneur. It suits entrepreneurial-minded individuals who as individuals want to start a business in bookkeeping.
This program has been submitted for approval to the US Department of Education for financial aid funding. It is not eligible for financial aid at this time. However, it will be eligible for scholarship funding if the student is awarded scholarships.

Program Requirements
Certificates of Achievement are a set of courses that can serve as a stepping stone to an associate degree or allow students to enter the workforce. Certificates of Achievement have a general education component.
To earn a Certificate of Achievement, students must:
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (see requirements for graduation.)
- Complete a minimum of 15 semester credit hours within the college.
- Satisfy General Education requirements for the Certificate of Achievement.
- Have no financial or library obligation to the college.

Program Outcomes
Students completing the certificate will:
PSLO1: Develop a business plan, including the creation, development and presentation of innovative ideas.
PSLO2: Possess knowledge of and be ready to perform basic functions of bookkeeping/accounting procedures and duties as required in entry level bookkeeping/accounting positions, such as assistant bookkeeper/accountant, accounting trainee, or business owner.
PSLO3: Demonstrate proficiency in using accounting computer software (e.g. Peachtree and QuickBooks) to do basic bookkeeping/accounting and prepare basic accounting reports.
